Réso’Forces at the service of businesses

Reso'Forces - Rebuilding your life at the heart of the Manor

The RESO’FORCES association, based at the Tier-Lieu Le Manoir in The Land, is a place for psychological, physical, and professional rehabilitation for people weakened by illness (cancer and burnout). Its mission is to support victims in their return to professional life. Founded by Brigitte Chollet, it works with both employees and companies.

Brigitte was a manager at a digital engineering company for over 20 years. She herself was affected by the disease. Two significant events prompted her to change careers and found Réso-Forces: During an appointment with a doctor, she learned that she had breast cancer. Unable to comprehend this news, she called her company to announce her illness. Her superiors were not very receptive to her situation and were mainly concerned about the loss of income due to her absence.

The employee-company interface

For a year, Brigitte fought against her illness and reflected on her place in the world of work. It was during this period that she met many women in the same situation, feeling helpless and demotivated by the professional world.

She decides to embark on a meaningful project that suits her. Occupational illnesses affect 1 in 4 people during their career, and a third of these people will leave or lose their job within 5 years of diagnosis. In France, more than 3.2 million people are close to burnout, and in Brittany, 20,000 new cases of cancer are diagnosed each year.

A resource center within The Land

She created Réso’forces, a resource center to help people bounce back and rebuild their lives. The goal is to offer tailored programs and prevent people from falling out of the workforce. Brigitte wants to develop a center and a program that is financially accessible to ensure a secure return to work. She launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance her project.

She currently works at The Land manor, a place that hosts people with meaningful projects, like hers. A dozen experts have already joined the association: psychologists, therapists, professional coaches, artists, etc. Each one supports patients in their own way. The association also offers support to companies. HR managers who have been confronted with an employee with an illness are particularly encouraged to sign up. In a course of up to eight sessions, they will learn how to prepare for a return to work and support those affected.

A questionnaire has been created oncancer and burnout to better understand everyone's needs. If you have been affected by one of these illnesses, or know someone who has, please feel free to answer the questionnaire.

Those most affected are the ones who can best describe it: “I managed to overcome my fears and move forward. I reconnected with my core values […]. Today, life feels like a new beginning. The difficulties I encountered allowed me to bounce back toward a better future. I am stronger, I dare, I welcome, and I live in the present. Thank you for this wonderful project."
