Opinion piece by Jean-Marc Esnault – The hidden pains of transition: what companies still refuse to face up to

In this opinion piece published on the day of the official launch of the RBA International Academic Alliance – Rennes | Brussels | Abu Dhabi, Jean-Marc Esnault, CEO of The Land School of Management and Secretary-General of RBA, addresses the topic of transition and the challenges it poses for businesses.

It is from the perspective of transition and its various challenges that The Land School of Management, together with the members of RBA, an alliance of management and business schools, is addressing the issue of training tomorrow's managers: management that is localized, grounded, and responsible.

“Transition has become the watchword of our time. Everyone agrees with it, but few are willing to pay the price. In companies, this gap between stated principles and actual sacrifices is creating growing tension, which fuels fatigue, disillusionment, and a loss of meaning.”

The Land School of Management is a management school in Rennes offering a Program of Excellence as well as training courses ranging from BTS to professional Master's degrees in six training departments: Management & Administration, Commerce & Real Estate, Communication, Environment, Tourism, Humanitarian & Social Innovation, Agriculture & Agri-food. Its ambition is to train managers who are active players in their regions and initiators of change.
