Déter series: collaboration between France Télévisions and The Land

série Déter - la forêt série télévisée

The collaboration between France Télévisions and The Land

The Brittany region enthusiastically welcomed a television series from France Télévisions: "Deter," a new daily drama.

This series follows the journey of young students at an agricultural high school located in the heart of the Breton countryside. The Deter series explores the rural world, an environment that is too often overlooked in television. It takes a positive approach to major current issues surrounding agriculture in all its forms, the concerns of young people in high school, and the diversity of training and careers available in the sector.

Filming at CETA and SPACE

The Land's Center for Food Experimentation and Transformation (CETA) was the setting for a scene in the series highlighting yogurt production. This location provided an immersive experience, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the agri-food industry and food processing. The series also made a notable appearance at the International Livestock Show, better known as SPACE. During this event, the series organized a shoot at The Land's booth.

A partnership with The Land

The entire series was filmed in Brittany, with 200 episodes planned for each season. The former private agricultural college in Étrelles, located south of Vitré, was made available by The Land. This location served as the main setting for the series' plot. In addition to providing the premises for filming, a partnership was established between France Télévisions and The Land.

The Land's Nouvel(le) R program on TV Rennes

The Déter adventure continues with the special program Nouvel(le) R on TVR. This program takes viewers behind the scenes of the filming. The program includes interviews with the producer and two actors from the series, as well as Michel Stoumboff, Regional Director of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry. In addition, a report from the Lycée de Vitré high school gives a glimpse into the lives of the students.
