A look back at the 2023 Coqs d'Or Awards Ceremony for New Rurality

Golden Roosters of New Ruralism

On May 9, at the Domaine du Château des Pères, the Coqs d'Or awards ceremony for new rurality was held.

This competition, created by The Land, highlights initiatives, innovations, and companies that have an impact on rural areas. This year, the ceremony was sponsored by Stéphane Rotenberg and hosted by Aurélie Crété and Jean-Marc Esnault. The jury, composed of renowned personalities such as Aurélie Rousseau (TVR), Elena Mañeru Izcue (M180), Sébastien Grosmaître (Ouest France), Loïc Hénaff (Groupe Hénaff), Jean-Luc Martin (Vieilles Charrues), and Jacques Delanoë (Stade Rennais), met to deliberate and select the jury's favorite as well as the winners in the following four categories: environment, entrepreneurship, social ties, and culture. These four main themes were rewarded to highlight the diversity of the projects and their contribution to the sustainable development of rural areas.

The evening was an opportunity to warmly thank all participants, partners, and presenters who contributed to the success of the event.

The organizers would like to express their gratitude to Cerfrance Brocéliande, Bpifrance, the Brittany Region, Village by CA Ille-et-Vilaine, Domaine du Château des Pères, Banque des Territoires, France Active, Groupama, TVR, Tébéo, Tébésud, and regional television stations for their valuable support and commitment.

A big thank you also to the presenters, Jeanne Vergne (Banque des Territoires), Céline Medard (Groupama Loire Bretagne), Romain Cuculi (Village by CA Ille-et-Vilaine), Laurent Marc (Cerfrance), and Pierre-Yves Blouch (France Active), for attending the ceremony and presenting the trophies to the winners.

Finally, congratulations to the winners of the 2023 Coqs d’Or de la Nouvelle Ruralité awards: Meilleurs Voisins, Villages Vivants, Compagnie Artefakt, Carabes et Canopée, and Ar Furlukin.
