Training and Education
The primary mission of the Rennes Horticultural Center is to train future professionals in the horticultural and landscaping sectors. It offers a diverse range of training programs tailored to the needs of various audiences, from professionals seeking to advance their skills and adults transitioning into careers in the plant industry to high school students looking to gain practical knowledge.
These courses cover various aspects of production, ranging from plant identification to propagation and cultivation techniques, as well as observation, sustainable farming, and environmentally friendly practices.
Production, Procurement, and Sales
Beyond its educational mission, The Land Greenhouse plays a major role in the production and supply of high-quality plants. It supplies professional nurseries, local governments, and private individuals with a variety of plants, selected for their hardiness and adaptability to local conditions. It offers a wide range of products, including locally grown strawberries, fresh vegetable plants such as tomatoes, zucchini, and peppers, over 60 varieties of herbs, as well as ornamental and fruit plants, catering to a variety of needs and tastes.
Part of the greenhouse is dedicated to growing strawberries. This project allows us to teach students about the challenges of growing this crop while respecting biodiversity—and it also provides us with delicious strawberries to enjoy!
