📍Maison Internationale de Rennes, 7 quai Chateaubriand
The 3A School at The Land Rennes Campus is organizing a conference on the geopolitical, economic, and environmental challenges surrounding critical materials that are essential to the energy and digital transition.
Guest of honor: Professor Emile NGOY KASONGO, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to France.
A conference to understand the geopolitical, economic, and ecological challenges of critical materials.
As the energy and digital transition accelerates, our societies are becoming increasingly dependent on rare and precious materials. These resources, which are essential to the functioning of our everyday technologies, raise major human and environmental issues. Focus on the Democratic Republic of Congo, the leading producer of cobalt, lithium, and coltan. Which critical materials are essential to our smartphones and electric cars? Where do they come from? At what human and environmental cost?
The conference will bring together stakeholders from the academic, humanitarian, environmental, and geopolitical spheres to engage in dialogue and reflection on the conditions for sustainable, ethical, and peaceful exploitation of natural resources.
