Customized training tailored to the needs of the company

In the vast array of training programs and public and private offerings available, companies do not always find courses that are tailored to the skills they need to meet their requirements and satisfy their customers' expectations. In order to adapt quickly, some are choosing to take the initiative.

This is the case for this degree program, created in 2020 between The Land and Cerfrance Brocéliande, an accounting and consulting firm and member of the Cerfrance network, which operates throughout France.  The first class of the Master's in Agricultural Business Consulting and Strategy will begin on September 6. It is aimed at students with a four-year degree who are currently enrolled in an engineering school specializing in agriculture or agribusiness, or a traditional business school, or at employees with legal knowledge who wish to change careers by reorienting or supplementing their professional background.

This tailor-made training program "will enable our consultants to provide strategic advice on the direction and development of businesses in the agricultural sector," says Kathy Jourdren, HR Director at Cerfrance Brocéliande. The training also enables us to meet the specific expectations of our clients and develop skills that can be deployed across the Grand Ouest region and neighboring departments.

1 year to develop skills

With a work-study schedule based on the nature of the profession and its tax obligations, the training program consists of 13 weeks at a training center and 34 weeks in a company. With training ending in late July 2022, employability is high, as the profiles trained meet the needs of companies and have already made their mark within them. With a national network of 700 agencies, in addition to the guarantee of a reliable and solid structure, this is also an opportunity to eventually progress within a nationwide group.

A response tailored to the region

Other tailor-made courses at The Land, such as the Bachelor's degree in Operational Management in Distribution, in collaboration with Carrefour Market, or the BACA (Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Accounting), offer training that meets the real needs of local businesses, with guaranteed employability upon graduation. "It's quite innovative to prioritize customer expectations and conclude that we need to adapt vocational training programs to meet them," concludes Kathy.
