métier de demain - métiers de demain - emploi durable - consultant RSE - chargé·e de mission RSE

The jobs of the future are those that contribute to building a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient society. In a rapidly changing world, skill requirements are evolving: ecological transition, resource management, renewable energies, sustainable food, and land use planning are all areas that offer meaning and employment opportunities.

On The Land Campus, several schools such asIHEDREA, ERE, and 3A train new generations for these high-impact professions. Here are three concrete examples that embody the desire to take action and the possibility of success by actively contributing to a more sustainable future.

Farmer or agronomist in sustainable agriculture

The farming profession has long been perceived as traditional. Today, it is becoming strategic and visionary. Faced with the challenges of climate change, food security, land use, and agroecological transition, it is no longer just a question of producing, but of preserving and regenerating soils, resources, and ecosystems.

This profession now requires three skills:

      • Advanced technical expertise in organic farming, water management, agroforestry, and traditional seeds

      • An entrepreneurial vision for managing a farm, developing short supply chains, and promoting local industries

    • A strong environmental and social awareness to integrate the expectations of citizens, communities, and living organisms

🎓 IHEDREA, an agricultural and agribusiness management school, prepares its students to meet these challenges:

        • Take over or start a farm

        • Leading agricultural transition projects at the local or national level

        • Advising farmers on changing their practices

        • Committing to the management of resilient rural areas

Career opportunities: organic farmer, agricultural advisor, sector manager, regional coordinator, agricultural policy expert, rural entrepreneur, etc.

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) consultant or project manager

Today, more and more companies are looking to rethink their business models to incorporate environmental, social, and ethical considerations. This is where the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) officer comes in: a strategic and committed role dedicated to the sustainable transformation of organizations.

This position requires cross-functional skills in:

          • Environment and climate: knowledge of ecological transition issues, decarbonization, resource management

          • Regulation: legal monitoring of CSR standards, labels, and reporting obligations

          • Communication and change management: supporting teams as practices evolve

          • Project management and systemic analysis skills

The school ERE provides training in precisely these areas, with teaching based on:

            • Ecology applied to organizations

            • Corporate social responsibility (CSR)

            • Environmental law

            • Social sciences and public policy related to transition

            • A strong practical component: group projects, real-life case studies, immersion in the workplace

Career opportunities: CSR officer, sustainable development consultant, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) analyst, climate manager, extra-financial auditor, etc.

          International Solidarity Project Manager

In a world facing humanitarian, social, and environmental crises, international solidarity project managers work to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations. Their role is to design, coordinate, and evaluate aid and development programs in the field, within NGOs, international institutions, or decentralized cooperation initiatives.

This job requires two types of skills:

              • An understanding of local and global issues

              • A project management methodology

It also requires great adaptability, diplomacy, and a strong commitment to social values and fairness.

3A School , the international school of responsible management, trains students committed to transforming the world. It prepares them for careers focused on:

                • Management of development or emergency projects

                • Coordination of missions in NGOs, foundations, or UN agencies

                • Advocacy, development education, and public awareness

Career opportunities: Humanitarian project coordinator , Mission manager in an NGO, Expert in local development or decentralized cooperation, Advocacy officer in an international organization, Consultant in social or solidarity project evaluation, SSE project manager in a community or foundation

Choosing a meaningful career is possible... and necessary.
