The EUREDEN Cooperative has entrusted The Land continuing education institute with setting up an in-house training program leading to a professional certification (listed in the National Directory of Professional Certifications).
The Flor’All course is a work-study program that runs from September 2022 to March 2023, between two busy periods in the garden center industry.
Training to meet new needs
Eureden's Green Distribution division and its stores mainly recruit for positions such as advisors, sales assistants, and plant department managers, seeking individuals who are already trained in plant-related professions (with technical degrees in horticulture, ornamental plants, etc.).
However, today, such profiles are rare. In order to overcome this problem and diversify profiles and recruitment sources, the company wanted to create a new training program.
This program combines comprehensive theoretical and practical instruction with a focus on professional development.
The group of seven candidates was made up of various employees recruited for seasonal positions.
The goal is to train them in the profession of sales advisor and to integrate them into a store on a long-term basis under a professional training contract.
